‘Vibrant Colors on Display at Women’s World Exhibition’
The 26th traditional women’s world colors painting exhibition organized by the Kyrenia Özgüra Lions Club has been opened with great success. The exhibition was inaugurated by President Ersin Tatar and his wife Sibel Tatar, with a dedication to celebrating International Women’s Day on March 8.
During the opening ceremony, Kyrenia Özgüra Lions Club President Zeynep Yağar Özer highlighted the importance of supporting women in society and showcasing their artistic talents. District 135 Founding General Director of Northern Cyprus Fikret Şendil reiterated the significant role of women in all aspects of life and commended the Lions Club for their social responsibility projects.
President Ersin Tatar expressed his joy at participating in the exhibition and emphasized the importance of using women’s art for the future generation. He acknowledged the pride that comes with showcasing the achievements and struggles of Turkish Cypriot women through these artworks.
The exhibition, currently being held at Nicosia AKM, features 65 works by 29 female artists and will remain open until March 8th. All proceeds from the exhibition will be donated to Child Oncology, further supporting a worthy cause.
This event serves as a platform to celebrate the talent and creativity of women artists while also raising awareness and funds for a charitable cause. It is a testament to the power of art in bringing people together and making a positive impact on society.
