Wagner Forces Ordered to Surrender Bahmut to Chechen Troops – Breaking News Update

Russian businessman Yevgeny Prigozhin has announced that private military contractor Wagner’s “conflict potential” will end in Bahkmut, Ukraine, as of May 10. Prigozhin, who has been linked to Wagner, stated that he contacted the President of the Chechnya Republic of Russia, Ramazan Kadyrov, who agreed to take over Wagner’s positions in Bahkmut. According to Prigozhin, Russian forces only need to capture an area of 2 square kilometers to secure Bahkmut, and he expressed confidence that it will be taken by troops loyal to Chechen leader Akhmat Kadyrov. Prigozhin also published a letter he wrote to Russian Defense Minister Sergey Shoigu, asking for permission to be given to Ahmat’s troops in the areas controlled by Wagner in Bahkmut. This comes after Prigozhin announced yesterday that they had decided to withdraw from Bahkmut on May 10, citing a lack of ammunition.
