WHO’s ongoing evacuation efforts from Nasser Hospital – Latest World Update
The Nasser Hospital in Gaza has been converted into a military barracks by the Israeli occupation forces, according to Ashraf al-Qudra, the Spokesperson of the Ministry of Health in Gaza. Not only did the Israeli soldiers detain 70 medical personnel working in the hospital, but they also detained the intensive care doctor, leaving no medical staff to tend to critical cases.
Furthermore, the Israeli occupation forces detained dozens of patients who were unable to move on stretchers. These patients were loaded onto military trucks and taken to an unknown location. The situation has led to an increase in the number of deaths in the intensive care unit, which was turned into a military barracks. The electricity has been cut off, and the oxygen device has been prevented from functioning.
This egregious act has left the hospital and its patients in a dire situation, with no medical personnel to care for the sick and injured.
