12th International Cartoon Contest will be held

The 12th International Cartoon Contest will be held as part of the 22nd Olive Festival, the 12th International Olive Humor Festival.

According to the statement made by the Cyprus Turkish Cartoonists Association of Girne Municipality, the works for the competition to be held in two subjects, “Olive” and “Free”, will be submitted until 31 May at the latest at the “Cyprus Turkish Cartoonists Association, 11th International Cartoon Competition, Mailbox: 455 (Postal Code: 99000), can be sent to “Nicosia – Northern Cyprus” address.

Works in the style of painting or illustration and written cartoons will not be accepted for the competition, which is open to anyone over the age of 18 who can draw amateur or professional cartoons.

“Olive” themed competition; “Olive and Time, Olive and History, Olive and Mythology, Olive and Technology, Olive and Cyprus, Olive and Life, Olive and Peace, Olive and War, Olive and Health, Olive and Woman, Olive and Man, Olive and Child, Olive Cartoons Against Cutting Trees, Olive Oil, Olive Branch, Olive Tree, Benefits of Olive, Olive and Oil Mills etc.” while themed works can apply; It is possible to participate in the free-themed competition with any theme.

In addition, the works to be sent to the competition will be original, black and white or colored in A4 or A3 dimensions. Each participant will write their name, surname, address, telephone, e-mail address on the back of the cartoon and send a short CV with a photograph.

All the cartoons to be sent to the competition will be kept in the archive of the “International Cyprus Cartoon Museum” to be created by the Cyprus Turkish Cartoonists Association, while the works deemed appropriate by the Organizing Committee will be published in an album and exhibited within the scope of the 22nd Olive Festival 2023.
