2024 Greek Islands IDO Fee and Visa-Free Travel Dates
Visa on Delivery Service for Greek Islands Now Available for Turkish Citizens
Exciting news for Turkish citizens who have always dreamed of visiting the Greek islands! Starting in 2024, Turkish citizens will be able to apply for a Visa on Delivery to visit 10 Greek islands. This new service will allow visitors to have a single entry for 7 days throughout the year by paying a Visa on Delivery fee.
To obtain tickets for sailings to Samos, interested travelers can visit the egeadalari.ido.com.tr website, İDO sales offices, authorized agencies or call centers. It is important to note that when visiting Samos Island, a valid passport and a Schengen or gate visa are required, and the passport must be valid for at least 3 months as of the return date and must not be older than 10 years.
Starting from April 6, 2024, İDO will organize trips from Izmir Seferihisar and Aydın Kuşadası to the Greek island of Samos. The Seferihisar-Samos flights will be available 3 days a week, departing in the morning and returning in the evening. In August, there will be flights every day. On the other hand, Kuşadası-Samos flights will begin with departures in the morning and returns in the evening, with flights 3 days a week until June 15, and every day after June 15.
The Visa on Delivery fee for Seferihisar-Samos flights is 35 Euros round-trip if returning on the same day, and 49 Euros round-trip if returning on different days. The journey is expected to take approximately 1 hour. For Kuşadası-Samos flights, the round-trip fare is 41 Euros if returning on the same day, and 52 Euros if returning on different days, and the journey takes approximately half an hour.
Furthermore, Greek Minister of Immigration Dimitris Kairides has announced that Turkish citizens will be able to visit 10 Greek islands without a visa. The islands where visa-free travel is permitted are Chios, Lesvos, Rhodes, Samos, Kos, Meis (Kastellorizo), Patmos, Leros, Kalymnos, and Simi.
