34 illegal immigrants were caught off the coast of Çeşme
The Coast Guard Command teams recently made a significant discovery off the coast of Çeşme district. During an inspection carried out with the help of an Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV), a group of 34 illegal immigrants was detected in a rubber boat.
Upon the detection, the Coast Guard teams swiftly moved to the location and successfully apprehended the 34 individuals on the rubber boat. In addition to the immigrants, 4 suspects who were believed to be involved in immigrant smuggling were also captured. This operation was made possible through the collaborative efforts of the Coast Guard Law Enforcement Support Team and Alaçatı District Gendarmerie Command teams.
