The meeting, held on April 11 in Almaty, was attended by officials from Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, and the CIS Executive Committee.

During the event, there was a comprehensive exchange of views on various areas of cooperation within the Commonwealth format. Discussions focused on issues related to political, diplomatic, trade, economic, cultural, and humanitarian cooperation in the near future, as highlighted in a press release from the Turkmen Foreign Ministry.

The next meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers is scheduled to take place in Dushanbe in October 2025, just before the CIS Heads of State Summit.

Additionally, a meeting of foreign affairs agencies from Central Asia and Russia was held on the same day in Almaty. Participants discussed the prospects for multilateral cooperation and the implementation of agreements reached during the Summit of Heads of State Dialogue. They also established strategies for mutually beneficial partnerships in key areas such as trade, economics, investments, and transport and logistics cooperation.

The discussions at both meetings aim to strengthen collaboration and foster development within the Commonwealth of Independent States and the Central Asia-Russia format.
