Solidarity House Invites Artists to Apply for the 10th Buffer Fringe Performance Arts Festival
The 10th Buffer Fringe Performance Arts Festival is gearing up to take place in Nicosia between 5-7 October. The festival, organised by the Solidarity House, has announced that applications for participation are now open. This year’s theme is “Milestone”, and the application deadline is on May 14.
Artists and artist groups from both local and international backgrounds are invited to submit their original and innovative works exploring the social, global, and/or local interpretation of the theme. The festival aims to highlight the importance of change and transformation and its embodiment in various objects, methods, and perspectives.
The Buffer Fringe Festival holds a unique position in the Cypriot art scene with its critical role and contribution to peace-building efforts. The festival stands out from others with its commitment to peacebuilding by reflecting the role of festivals and art in transforming conflicts.
The festival emphasises the importance of questioning traditional artistic and cultural paradigms and encourages artists to construct innovative approaches for the future.
