Atlético Madrid Football Academy to Open in Kazakhstan
President of Atlético Madrid Football Club, Enrique Cerezo Torres, recently met with President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev to present a project to open the Atletico Madrid football academy in Kazakhstan. The meeting took place on June 11, as reported by the Akorda press service.
The academy will be established at the Akbulak Olympic Center in Talgar, located in the Almaty Region. President Tokayev expressed his gratitude to Cerezo Torres for his willingness to share his expertise and promote football in Kazakhstan. He also assured his support for this initiative.
President Tokayev highlighted the country’s dedication to the development of football, with approximately 40,000 children participating in sports schools and sections. Kazakhstan is actively enhancing its infrastructure and constructing new stadiums to further support the sport.
Enrique Cerezo Torres emphasized that Atlético Madrid has football academies operating in numerous countries around the world. The academy’s primary focus is on implementing best practices and enhancing the skills of coaches and mentors to prepare young talents for success in top football leagues globally.
