Italian company EU Wings to Service Aircraft at Six Airports in Uzbekistan

Uzbekistan Airports has announced that the Italian company EU Wings will be providing maintenance services for aircraft at six airports in Uzbekistan. The cooperation agreement signed between Uzbekistan Airports and EU Wings will see the foreign company servicing a variety of aircraft at the international airports of Tashkent, Bukhara, Navoi, Urgench, Namangan, and Fergana.

The types of aircraft that will be serviced by EU Wings include popular models from manufacturers such as Airbus, Boeing, Embraer, and ATR. This will include Airbus models 319, 320, 321, 330, Boeing models 737, 767, 777, 787, Embraer RJ 170/190, as well as ATR 42/72 aircraft.

Under the terms of the contract, EU Wings will provide maintenance services that meet the requirements of the airlines operating in Uzbekistan. This partnership is expected to not only enhance the maintenance capabilities of the local airports but also attract new foreign carriers to operate in Uzbekistan, leading to the creation of additional job opportunities.

The collaboration between Uzbekistan Airports and EU Wings was formalized on the sidelines of the MRO Central Asia conference and exhibition held in Tashkent on March 26. The signing of the memorandum of understanding between the two parties marks a significant step towards improving the aircraft maintenance infrastructure in Uzbekistan.
