End of the 13th EMU Art Gathering

The Eastern Mediterranean University’s (EMU) Fine Arts Club recently held its 13th Art Meeting, where participants had the opportunity to attend 13 workshops led by 13 artists. During the two-day event, the artists guided participants in exploring various art forms and gaining valuable experience.

The EMU Yasin Fikirer Stadium was the venue for this year’s Art Meeting, which was organized by the Fine Arts Club. The event curator, Artist Ayhatun Ateşin, emphasized the importance of using art to cope with pain, making reference to the earthquake that occurred in Turkey on February 6. “It was very good for all of us to hold on to the pain with art,” Ateşin said. “Art heals…”

Prof. Dr. Denizİşoğlu, the EMU Vice Rector for Social and Cultural Affairs, presented certificates of appreciation to all the artists who attended the event. The 13th EMU Art Meeting ended with a RAKU baking event, where participants could showcase their creations.

The Art Meeting has become an annual event that provides a platform for the exchange of ideas among artists and art enthusiasts. Attendees of the event left with a renewed appreciation for the arts and the many ways they can be explored and appreciated.
