Hezbollah Attacks Israel; Casualties Reported
Hezbollah has recently made a statement regarding its attacks against Israel, citing conflicts in southern Lebanon since October 8, 2023. According to the statement, Israel’s Birket Rishe position was targeted with a missile, resulting in smoke rising from the position. Additionally, the Er-Rahib position was hit by artillery fire.
The official news agency in Lebanon, NNA, reported that an Israeli missile exploded in the skies of Rimeish town in Lebanon during the clashes between the Israeli army and Hezbollah.
The ongoing clashes have resulted in casualties on both sides, with a total of 232 Hezbollah members, 45 Lebanese civilians, 11 Amal Movement members, 12 Hamas members, and 12 Islamic Jihad members reported dead. In addition, 6 Israeli civilians and 11 soldiers have also lost their lives as a result of the conflict.
The situation remains tense as both sides continue to engage in combat in southern Lebanon, with no immediate resolution in sight. The international community is urged to intervene and seek a peaceful solution to the ongoing conflict between Hezbollah and Israel.
