Kazakhstan’s Foreign Ministry Maintains Contact with Citizens in Iran and Israel
Kazakh Citizens in Israel and Iran Safe Amid Tensions
According to Kazakh Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Aibek Smadiyarov, there are 123 Kazakh citizens registered with the Kazakh consulate in Israel and 104 in Iran. Additionally, approximately 100 Kazakh citizens may be living in Israel without registration. Furthermore, 174 employees of a Kazakh company work on a rotational basis in Iran. Despite these numbers, Smadiyarov reassured that the situation is currently stable, but the ministry is prepared to ensure the safety of Kazakh citizens if tensions escalate.
Meanwhile, Kazakhstan’s contingent carrying out the United Nations peacekeeping mission in the Golan Heights is operating as usual, with no threat to the life and health of personnel, as stated by the Defense Ministry.
Recent reports have highlighted escalating tensions between Iran and Israel, with Iran launching explosive drones and firing missiles at Israel in retaliation for an attack on its consulate in the capital of Syria. The Kazakh Foreign Ministry has expressed deep concern over the situation and called on both parties to exercise restraint and resolve their disagreements through political and diplomatic means.
