New drugs added to reimbursement list in Official Gazette

The Ministry of Health has recently announced that 16 drugs have been added to the reimbursement list, as shared on their official social media account.

In a statement released in the Official Gazette, it was revealed that the reimbursement list has been updated to include these 16 drugs, which are used in the treatment of various diseases. Among them, 8 drugs are for domestic production and 5 are specifically for cancer treatment.

This update also means that the number of drugs that can be prescribed by family physicians and included in the reimbursement list has been increased. Additionally, the scope of drug reports that can be arranged by Family Medicine and Internal Medicine Specialists has been expanded.

Specifically, some medications for blood pressure, allergies, skin diseases, and eye care can now be prescribed by family physicians without the need for a specialist’s report for specified periods. Furthermore, the report renewal times for drugs that require a specialist physician report due to chronic conditions have been extended.

The Ministry of Health wishes good luck to all citizens who may benefit from these newly added drugs. This update is expected to provide easier access to essential medications for a wider range of patients in need.
