President Erdoğan questions Mr. Özgür for not meeting with Assad
President and Chairman of the AK Party, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, addressed attendees at the AK Party Sakarya 8th Ordinary Provincial Congress, where he discussed the new era in Syria and criticized the main opposition party, CHP.
Erdoğan highlighted the return of refugees to their countries, stating that those who choose to stay in Turkey will always have a place above their heads. He emphasized the importance of supporting immigrants and fulfilling the requirements of the law of brotherhood.
The President also spoke about the upcoming changes in Turkey, referring to it as the “Turkey Century” where the country will shine like a star and regain its original codes. Despite existing problems and obstacles, Erdoğan expressed optimism about the new opportunities that lie ahead for Turkey in its second century.
In reference to the situation in Syria, Erdoğan questioned those who doubted Turkey’s involvement in the region and pointed out the downfall of the Baath regime and Assad’s overnight escape. He condemned the atrocities committed by Assad in underground prisons and criticized the CHP’s support for an amnesty declaration promoted by Assad himself.
Erdoğan’s statements at the congress shed light on Turkey’s stance on Syria, the return of refugees, and the country’s readiness for a new era marked by progress and resilience.
