Sibel Tatar Attends ‘Selvi Boylum Al Yazımalı, Yeşilçam Music Concert’ at BRTK
Sibel Tatar, the wife of President Ersin Tatar, recently attended the “Selvi Boylum Al Yazımalı, Yeşilçam Music Concert” hosted by the Çatalköy-Esentepe Municipality Ahenk Turkish Music Choir, where the famous Turkish cinema actor Engin Çağlar was the special guest.
The concert, as reported by the Presidency, began with mesmerizing performances of Yeşilçam songs by the Ahenk Turkish Music Choir led by Chief Artist Bahar Gökhan. Engin Çağlar, celebrating his 55th year in the world of art, narrated captivating stories from Yeşilçam films.
During her speech at the concert, Sibel Tatar expressed her gratitude for Chief Artist Bahar Gökhan’s involvement in social responsibility projects, including the Presidential Fidan Children’s Choir and Orchestra, which supports children with special needs. She also thanked İçim Çağıner for her continuous support for art and charity, as well as the Çatalköy-Esentepe Municipality for their contribution to the arts and the Ahenk Turkish Music Choir.
Reflecting on her experience at the concert, Sibel Tatar reminisced about the music and stories from the movies she enjoyed in her childhood. She commended the Ahenk Turkish Music Choir under the guidance of Bahar Gökhan and Engin Çağlar for their enchanting performances of Yeşilçam movie narratives.
Sibel Tatar also highlighted the significance of Turkish cinema, noting that before 1974, Turkish Cypriots had limited access to Turkish films, which were a cherished source of entertainment. She praised the quality and value of Yeşilçam films and acknowledged the global popularity of Turkish TV series in recent years.
