Tekirdağ City Center Museums Attracting Many Visitors
Many visitors, especially from Istanbul, nearby provinces, and abroad, have been visiting the museums in Tekirdağ city center. One of the popular destinations for holidaymakers is the Rakoczi Museum, which was originally the house where Hungarian Prince Frenc Rakoczi II lived after taking refuge in the Ottoman Empire. Museum Director Ali Kabul shared that the museum has been bustling with activity due to the holiday season.
Kabul mentioned that the tourism season kicked off with the Eid holiday, resulting in an increased number of visitors to the city. He stated, “We welcome both local tourists and Hungarian holidaymakers in our city. We make sure to provide them with valuable information and host them in the best way possible. Typically, visitors explore the Archeology and Ethnography Museum along with the Rakoczi Museum.” Kabul also added that visitors often make time to visit Namık Kemal House.
One holidaymaker, Bahar Akkaş, who traveled from Bursa to Tekirdağ for vacation, shared her positive experience. She highlighted the importance of visiting the museums and historical mosques in Tekirdağ. Akkaş emphasized that the museum tours were enlightening and contributed to their enjoyable holiday experience. She expressed her admiration for the museums in the city and encouraged others to pay a visit.
