The First Art and İpek Denizli Art Workshop World Theater Day Awards to Be Distributed on March 27
The First Art and İpek Denizli Art Workshop have announced that they will be organizing the traditional World Theater Day Awards ceremony on March 27. This year, the event will honor artists working in the field of theater art from Turkey and TRNC.
One of the highlights of the ceremony will be the presentation of the “Lifetime Professional Honor Award” to renowned theater and film actor and director, Ali Dusenkalkar from Turkey. Dusenkalkar will also be giving a poetry recital accompanied by flute after engaging in a conversation with the guests.
In addition to honoring Dusenkalkar, the ceremony will also recognize the contributions of four artists from TRNC. Nevzat Şehitcan, Yılsay Özbudak, Ertaç Hazer, and Cansev Günsoy will be receiving the Lifetime Professional Honor Award for their dedication to the theater.
Past recipients of this prestigious award include Tamer Levent, Gülsen Tuncer, Hilmi Özen, Ayla Haşmet, Çetin Özen, Doğan Erçağ, Osman Alkaş, and Deniz Çakır.
The award ceremony will be held at the Meral Tekin Biri hall of the Biri Plaza in Nicosia, starting at 4:00 PM. The event, organized by Ertaç Hazer and poet Feyzan Korur, will feature special presentations by Ertan Birinci and İpek Denizli. The public is invited to join in celebrating this special day dedicated to the art of theater.
