Contemporary Music Association Turkish Classical Music Choir Performs Concert in Baku
The Contemporary Music Association Turkish Classical Music Choir recently held a concert in Baku, Azerbaijan. The concert, titled “One voice, one heart,” took place at the Nizami Cinema Center and was attended by prominent figures including TURKPA Secretary General Mehmet Süreyya Er, Turkey’s Baku Ambassador Cahit Bağcı, and TRNC Baku Representative Ufuk Turganer, as well as Azerbaijani Members of Parliament and many other guests.
Organized by the TRNC Baku Representation and the Azerbaijan-Cyprus Friendship Society with the support of the Azerbaijani Ministry of Culture, the concert featured the choir, under the direction of Conductor Ersin Tünay, performing a variety of Turkish and Azerbaijani songs.
During the event, TRNC Baku Representative Ufuk Turganer emphasized the significance of cultural activities in strengthening the bond of affection between Azerbaijan and the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus. He also mentioned the choir’s previous concert in Nakhchivan, highlighting the importance of such performances in promoting cultural exchange.
President of the Azerbaijan-Cyprus Friendship Society, Orhan Hasanoğlu, expressed the deep connection between Azerbaijan and Cyprus, emphasizing the value of Cyprus to Azerbaijani people. He also conveyed the Turkish Cypriots’ strong affection for Azerbaijanis and encouraged all Azerbaijanis to visit Cyprus.
The concert served as a meaningful cultural exchange, fostering a sense of unity and mutual appreciation between Azerbaijan and the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus. It also showcased the power of music in bridging cultural divides and celebrating shared heritage.
