Two Drones Crash in Eastern Egypt: Latest News Update

Egyptian Army Investigates UAV Attacks in Eastern Cities

The Egyptian Army has been investigating recent incidents involving two unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) that crashed into cities in the eastern part of the country, one of which is located near the Israeli border. Colonel Garib Abdulhafez, the Egyptian Army spokesperson, released a written statement providing details about the investigations.

According to Abdulhafez, the UAVs originated from the south of the Red Sea. One of the UAVs was successfully neutralized outside Egyptian airspace in the Gulf of Aqaba. The spokesperson clarified that the objects that fell into an empty land area in the city of Nuwayba, initially reported as rockets by the Egyptian press, were actually the debris of one of the targeted UAVs.

Abdulhafez also revealed that the other UAV hit the city of Taba, which is situated on the Israeli border. In response, the Egyptian air force has elevated its efforts to enhance the security of Egyptian airspace from all strategic directions.

So far, no one has claimed responsibility for the attacks. However, the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs, as reported by the Israeli press, has pointed fingers at the Houthis for deploying the UAVs.

Yesterday, the Egyptian Army spokesperson, Abdulhafez, announced that an unidentified UAV had fallen on a building in the city of Taba, near the country’s border with Israel. He reported that six individuals sustained minor injuries, and an expert committee has been assigned to investigate the incident.

Al-Cairo television, a broadcasting channel in Egypt, further announced that an object, initially presumed to be a rocket, had fallen in the city of Nuwaiba. This city is located on the shores of the Gulf of Aqaba in the southeastern part of the Sinai Peninsula.

The Egyptian Army continues to investigate the origin and purpose of these UAV attacks. Their efforts aim to safeguard the country’s borders and protect its citizens from any potential threats.
