Ukraine Accuses England of Blocking Negotiations with Russia – Last Minute World News
Negotiations between Russia and Ukraine remain at a standstill as Kremlin Spokesperson Dmitriy Peskov stated that there is currently no basis for negotiations. Peskov emphasized that Ukraine withdrew from the negotiation table in March of this year at the insistence of the United Kingdom, and there have been no negotiations since then.
This statement comes in response to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy’s recent comments that negotiations with Russia are not a current issue. Peskov also reminded that Zelenskiy previously signed a decree with Russian President Vladimir Putin stating that it was impossible to negotiate the war.
Furthermore, Peskov criticized Ukraine’s “Peace Formula” initiative, stating that they are trying to find a peace formula without Russia, which he described as an “absurd process with no potential for results.”
In his annual press conference, President Zelenskiy also reiterated his stance that negotiations with Russia are not a current issue, highlighting what he perceives as arrogance and aggression in Russia’s behavior.
With both sides showing no signs of willingness to engage in negotiations, the stalemate between Russia and Ukraine continues, leaving the prospect of a peaceful resolution uncertain.
