Uzbekistan sees rise in salaries, pensions, and allowances
Uzbekistan Increases Salaries for Teachers, Doctors, and Public Sector Employees
As of October 1, Uzbekistan has implemented a 15% raise in salaries for teachers and doctors, with other public sector employees seeing a 10% increase in their wages. This move by the government reflects a commitment to improving the financial well-being of its citizens.
In addition to the salary adjustments, several other payments have been updated to benefit the population. The basic calculation unit is now set at 375,000 UZS, with the minimum wage at 1,155,000 UZS. The basic pension calculation amount has been raised to 428,000 UZS, while the minimum age-related pension is now at 834,000 UZS. For individuals with disabilities, the minimum disability pension (including those with incomplete work experience) and disability benefits have both been set at 920,000 UZS. Elderly citizens without sufficient work experience will receive allowances of 745,000 UZS, and the minimum age-related pension for those with incomplete work experience has been adjusted to 745,000 UZS.
These increases in payments are aimed at providing further support to vulnerable populations and recognizing the important contributions made by key public sector workers. The government of Uzbekistan is focused on improving the overall financial well-being of its citizens and ensuring that public sector employees are fairly compensated for their work.
