Albanian UN Rapporteur Demands Accountability from Israel – Latest World News
Francesca Albanese, the UN Special Rapporteur on Palestine, has fired back at Israeli officials who accused the UN of being complicit in the actions of Hamas. In response, Albanese has described these accusations as the “usual accusations against anyone who condemns its absurd and criminal practices” and has stated that this is nothing new for Israel.
Albanese also criticized Israel for targeting the ambassador and stated that this has been their practice for decades. Furthermore, she highlighted the devastating impact of Israel’s attacks on the Gaza Strip, noting that more than 20 thousand people have been killed, with 70 percent of them being women and children. Despite these devastating statistics, Albania expressed disbelief in how the international community continues to respect Israel.
