Infantry Brigade Conducts Live Firing Exercise with Lynx Combat Vehicles
The MH Pál Kinizsi 30th Armoured Infantry Brigade recently conducted live firing exercises with a Lynx combat vehicle, showcasing their tactical skills and capabilities. The exercise involved firing at the enemy while utilizing smoke grenades to provide cover for the retreating vehicle. This strategy not only distracts the enemy but also acts as a trap against heat-tracking projectiles, making it challenging to locate the Lynx.
Sergeant Major András Török praised the Lynx as a fast, precise, and effective tool, emphasizing the importance of proper training for new recruits. He commended the high level of motivation among the recruits, highlighting the need for skilled personnel within the unit.
In addition to the Lynx, the live firing exercises also featured the Carl Gustaf M4 anti-tank grenade launcher. The procurement of the Carl Gustaf M4 grenade launchers by the Hungarian Defense Forces in 2018 marked a significant development program, replacing the Soviet RPG-7. The lightweight and versatile Carl Gustaf M4 can fire multiple types of ammunition, with a two-man crew capable of firing up to 6 rounds per minute when properly trained. It is effective at various ranges, making it a valuable asset in combat scenarios.
