President Sadyr Japarov Visits Astana for Official Trip
President of Kyrgyzstan, Sadyr Japarov, Visits Kazakhstan for Official Visit
On April 19, 2024, President of Kyrgyzstan, Sadyr Japarov, arrived in Kazakhstan for an official visit. The press service of the head of state reported that President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev personally welcomed Japarov at Astana International Airport.
During the visit, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and Sadyr Japarov attended a gala concert featuring masters of arts from both Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan. The event took place at the Palace of Peace and Reconciliation and showcased performances by cultural figures, artists from the State Opera and Ballet Theater Astana Opera, as well as creative groups from both countries.
The concert included recitations from the Manas epic, musical works representing both nations, and various choreographic performances. The visit also included bilateral talks between President Japarov and President Tokayev, participation in the sixth meeting of the Supreme Interstate Council of Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan, and the opening ceremony of a monument to the hero of the Kyrgyz Manas epic in Astana.
Furthermore, Kazakhstan hosted a range of events during the visit, including the Kyrgyzstan – Kazakhstan Business Forum, a round table of elders and intellectuals, a Kyrgyz-Kazakh Youth Forum, and a Forum of Scientists.
The visit aimed to strengthen ties between Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan and promote cultural exchange and cooperation between the two nations.
