Qassam Brigades Target Israeli Spy Site in Gaza
The Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas, recently announced that they had targeted a new Israeli surveillance and espionage center in the Juhr al-Dik region in the central Gaza Strip. This attack was carried out with mortars, according to a statement released by the group.
Israeli authorities have not yet responded to the claims made by the Qassam Brigades.
In response to Israel’s ongoing attacks, the Palestine Telecommunications Company and Jawwal Company reported disruptions in fixed (landline) communication services and internet in the central and southern regions of the Gaza Strip.
Since October 7, Israel’s attacks on the Gaza Strip have resulted in the deaths of 34,305 Palestinians, including over 14,000 children and nearly 10,000 women. Additionally, 77,293 people have been injured in the conflict.
The situation in the region remains tense as both sides continue to engage in conflict, with civilians bearing the brunt of the violence. It is unclear how the situation will progress in the coming days, as international calls for a ceasefire and peaceful resolution continue to be made.
