School Teacher and Brother Beat Up Seventh Grade Student in Kyrgyzstan

A shocking incident took place in Kalkagar village, Ton district of Issyk-Kul region in Kyrgyzstan, where a school teacher and his brother severely beat up a seventh grade student. The relative of the victim, Ibarat Turatbekova, shared the details with 24.kg news agency.

The altercation happened on June 11 at around 8 p.m. According to Turatbekova, the children got into a fight during a game, and her nephew Ilgiz intervened to break it up. Later, when Ilgiz was at home, he was called outside by a friend and ambushed by two men – the uncles of the boy involved in the initial fight.

Torokeldi, a 33-year-old music teacher at Nogoy Sadykov secondary school, and his 34-year-old brother Uluk, proceeded to violently assault Ilgiz on the football field behind the school. The victim sustained severe injuries and was rushed to the hospital the following day, where he was diagnosed with a severe concussion.

When confronted by villagers and the victim’s relatives, Torokeldi Rysmendiev, the school teacher, reportedly responded aggressively and issued threats of retaliation. Turatbekova is now seeking justice and the full legal punishment for the perpetrators.

The Department of Internal Affairs of Issyk-Kul region has assured that more information regarding the incident will be provided at a later time. This incident has sparked outrage and calls for accountability in the community.
